Hyatt Place and Select: 3,000 Points per 3-Night Stay — the Real Deal Math

World of Hyatt is offering 3,000 bonus points for each qualifying stay of at least three consecutive nights at participating Hyatt Place and Hyatt Select hotels in the Americas. Registration and checkout must both happen by 30 September 2026, and the cap is 30,000 points. The best detail is that eligible free-night awards count; the easiest mistake is assuming every block of three nights earns another bonus.

The terms that control

You must register before the stay is completed. Eligible stays must finish by 30 September 2026 at participating Hyatt Place or Hyatt Select properties in the United States, Canada, Caribbean or Latin America. Each qualifying stay must contain at least three consecutive nights at the same property.

Paid eligible rates and free-night awards both qualify. Only the room occupied by the member counts, and the World of Hyatt number must be attached by checkout. Hyatt allows two to three weeks after checkout for posting.

One stay, one bonus: consecutive nights at the same hotel constitute a single stay. Six continuous nights earn 3,000 promotional points, not 6,000. The 30,000-point maximum therefore requires ten separate qualifying stays, not merely 30 nights.

The honest value formula

The promotion has a fixed 3,000-point payout but no fixed cash value. Multiply 3,000 by your own conservative value per Hyatt point, then compare the result with the incremental cost of choosing a participating property. At 1.5 US cents per point as a personal planning assumption, the bonus would be USD 45; that is an AwardLevel example, not Hyatt's valuation.

A three-night stay you already planned at the best total price is a clean win. Moving to a Hyatt that costs USD 90 more solely for the bonus is not. Include parking, breakfast, resort or destination fees, cancellation rules and commute cost in the comparison.

Award stays change the opportunity

Because a free-night award is an eligible stay, a three-night redemption can return 3,000 bonus points after registration. That reduces the net points cost, but only if the property participates and the stay ends by the deadline. Do not transfer flexible points speculatively before confirming award space and the final terms.

Checklist before booking

Register first and save the confirmation.
Confirm the exact hotel is participating at reservation and stay time.
Check out no later than 30 September; a stay beginning before the deadline but ending after it does not qualify.
Use one room occupied by the member; extra rooms do not multiply the bonus.
Wait up to three weeks, then file a missing-points request with the folio and registration evidence.

Verdict

This is a worthwhile rebate for an existing three-night Hyatt Place or Hyatt Select plan, especially on an award stay. It is weak as a reason to switch hotels, and continuous nights cannot be chopped into multiple stays at the same property under the published rule.
